Music
Music is the heartbeat of Thomson House, giving life to children’s creativity and strengthening their confidence.
We are committed to nurturing every child’s musical journey through a comprehensive and engaging music education. Our approach is structured across three key areas: curriculum music, co-curricular provision, and enriching musical experiences. Through our curriculum, we ensure that all pupils receive a solid foundation in music theory and practice. Our co-curricular activities, including choir and instrumental lessons, provide additional opportunities for students to explore their musical interests. We also collaborate with local schools and organisations to offer unique musical experiences, such as workshops and performances.
Every class receives two music lessons as well as a Singing Assembly, with our specialist music teacher, Isabel Saunders. We have a heart-warming school song, composed by our main piano teacher, Adam Blackburn, that reflects our school values of kindness, courage and curiosity.
